Industry

Education

Making medical education feel serious without making it feel institutional.

Objective

NextMed Academy helps international students prepare for and begin medical studies at the Third Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague.

Their Instagram needed to do more than look professional. It had to explain a complicated application journey, build trust with students and parents, and make studying medicine abroad feel exciting rather than overwhelming.

NORU was tasked with developing a more cohesive visual direction and creating 24 Instagram posts that could combine the credibility of medical education with the energy of school, travel and student life in Prague.

What we’ve done

  1. Developed a new visual direction for NextMed Academy’s Instagram

  2. Created three flexible social media design systems

  3. Wrote and refined the content for 24 Instagram posts

  4. Designed educational carousels, visual posts and video-led content concepts

  5. Created editable Canva templates for future use

  6. Adapted the communication for an international, English-speaking audience

  7. Managed client feedback, revisions and final content delivery

  8. Provided an additional website UX audit with practical improvement opportunities

Creative Process

Medicine is serious. The communication around it does not always have to feel clinical.

The challenge was to find the right balance between credibility and youthfulness. The first visual concepts felt too generic and corporate, so we returned to the core of the NextMed experience: school, medicine, travel and starting a new life in Prague.

The final direction combined paper textures, sticky notes, handwritten elements, doodles, Polaroid-style photography and NextMed’s signature blue. More playful posts brought energy to the feed, while cleaner layouts made detailed information easier to understand.

We created a system that could move between entrance-exam guidance, application steps, life in Prague and student-focused content without making every post look identical. The goal was cohesion without repetition.

Results

The project gave NextMed Academy a complete, ready-to-publish Instagram content system rather than a collection of disconnected designs.

NORU delivered 24 posts across two content batches, supported by three reusable visual styles and a consistent approach to typography, photography and information hierarchy.

The result was a feed that felt more youthful, distinctive and recognisably NextMed while still presenting medical education with the clarity and credibility the decision requires.
